Community

Beyond serving my wife, family, clients, vendors, and colleagues, I enjoy being involved in the community, locally or globally.

Below, you will find some of the organization that my family support.  Please click on the logos below to learn more about each company's mission.
Since 1892, Family Services has been a private, non-profit organization helping area families achieve self-sufficiency. Our services have changed over the years, but our commitment to a stronger, healthier community has never wavered.

Family Services builds emotionally healthy, self-sufficient families and a non-violent community in which they can thrive. In 2006 we served more than 10,000 people. By addressing the overlapping issues of mental health, domestic violence, and homelessness we help strengthen our community by providing families with the solutions they need to build healthy relationships and stable lives.
Kiva lets you connect with and loan money to unique small businesses in the developing world. By choosing a business on Kiva.org, you can "sponsor a business" and help the world's working poor make great strides towards economic independence. Throughout the course of the loan (usually 6-12 months), you can receive email journal updates from the business you've sponsored. As loans are repaid, you get your loan money back.

ShowTunes Theatre Company

Showtunes! Theatre Company is a recent addition to the Seattle theatre scene. Our mission is to focus on what is most important about musicals-the lyrics and the music- as well as to showcase Seattle's extraordinary pool of musical theatre talent.

We present musicals in concert format with full cast, chorus, and orchestra. Minimal costumes and props are used, and cast members perform with scripts in hand. We were incorporated as a Washington State non-profit corporation in October of 1999, and received confirmation of our 501(c)(3) tax exempt status in the spring of 2001.

Mercy Corps works amid disasters, conflicts, chronic poverty and instability to unleash the potential of people who can win against nearly impossible odds.

Since 1979,
Mercy Corps has provided $1.3 billion in assistance to people in 100 nations. Supported by headquarters offices in North America, Europe and Asia, the agency's unified global programs employ 3,400 staff worldwide and reach nearly 14.4 million people in more than 35 countries.
